Summary:
To help youth in detention explore diverse career landscapes and build positive momentum for their future growth, the Taipei Juvenile Detention House and the Born Anew Youth Care Association jointly organized a "Career Discovery" workshop. The event featured teachers who shared their experiences and guided the youth in exploring their personal strengths and potential development paths. This "Career Planning" session used engaging, interactive methods led by the teachers to introduce industry trends and essential soft skills for the workplace, while teaching participants how to set personal goals and create concrete action plans. Through career mapping exercises and group discussions, the youth not only clarified their past uncertainties but also rebuilt their self-confidence under the teachers' encouragement. The workshop emphasized the importance of a responsible attitude and self-management, helping them realize that the steering wheel of their lives is in their own hands. It is hoped that this experience will help these young people establish a clearer interest in their future employment direction, allowing them to apply these planning skills after their release to secure stable jobs and create a new life of independence and hope.
